2. John BLACKIE , son of Ann BROWN, was born in 1797. He was a Clergyman. He married Martha DRYDEN in 1821. He died in 1840.

4. Thomas Morell BLACKIE , son of John BLACKIE and Martha DRYDEN, was born in 1831 in Bungay, Suffolk. He was a Schoolmaster.

 

Sarah Maria RISE , daughter of Benjamin RISE (1805- ) and Sarah (1805- ), was born in 1834 in Norwich. She and Thomas Morell BLACKIE had the following children:

 

9	Annie Maud BLACKIE (1859- ). Annie was born in 1859.
10	Agnes Sarah BLACKIE (1867- ). Agnes was born in 1867.

 

5. Robert BLACKIE , son of John BLACKIE and Martha DRYDEN, was born in 1834. He was a Grocer, "Sugar Loaf", corner of Broad Street and Norfolk Street. He married Emma WIGG in 1862. He died in 1890 (estimated).

 

Emma WIGG was born in 1839. She died. She and Robert BLACKIE had the following children:

 

11	Jessie BLACKIE (1863-1947). Jessie was born in 1863. She died in 1947.
12	Dryden Wigg BLACKIE (1875-1955). Dryden was born in 1875. He died in 1955.

 

6. Anne BLACKIE , daughter of John BLACKIE and Martha DRYDEN, was born in 1836. She died in 1900 (estimated).

 

7. Jane BLACKIE , daughter of John BLACKIE and Martha DRYDEN, was born in 1838. She died in 1900 (estimated).

 

	James Morell BLACKIE		Spouse: Priscilla Louisa HORDERN

8. James Morell BLACKIE , son of John BLACKIE and Martha DRYDEN, was born in 1841 in Bungay. He was a Clergyman. James Morell Blackie appeared in the 1861 census as an unmarried Metalurgical student visiting Julius and Charlotte Steinitry (he from Prussia) in Ro. James married Priscilla Louisa HORDERN in 1866. He died in 1889.

 

Priscilla Louisa HORDERN , daughter of John HORDERN ( -1879) and Priscilla CASH (1821-1900), was born in 1846. She died in 1925. She and James Morell BLACKIE had the following children:

 

13	Ernest Morell BLACKIE (1867-1943). Ernest was born on 19 August 1867. He was a Clergyman. He married Caroline STEWART in 1903. He died of Heart Failure in 1943.
14	Wilfred John BLACKIE (1869-1941). Wilfred was born on 17 July 1869 in Bungay. He married Bertha LAND in 1895. He died in 1941.
15	Hugh BLACKIE (1870-1870). Hugh was born in 1870. He died in 1870.
16	Margaret BLACKIE (1871- ). Margaret was born in 1871. She married Frank SHEWELL-COOPER in 1900.
17	Agnes Louise BLACKIE (1872- ). Agnes was born in 1872. She married Lucius SMITH in 1906.
18	Edgar Dryden BLACKIE (1874- ). Edgar was born in 1874. He married Alice LIDDIARD in 1908.
19	Priscilla Maud BLACKIE (1876- ). Priscilla was born in 1876 in Liverpool.
20	Irene Hordern BLACKIE (1879- ). Irene was born in 1879.
21	Gladys Mary BLACKIE (1883- ). Gladys was born in 1883. She married Harold CLARK in 1908.
